Senior AI Product Engineer

Noah Labs · Berlin

Full time On site
description Job Description

As a Senior AI Product Engineer you work within the product team closely with the Product Lead to deliver substantial projects across our AI-enabled telemonitoring platform end-to-end. You take ownership of specific projects from scoping through implementation, release, and post-launch iteration, contributing across the full stack.

Tasks

1. Project Ownership and End-to-End Delivery

  • You own projects end-to-end, from concept through prototyping, experimentation, testing, and continuous optimisation. You break work into actionable projects, oversee delivery with more junior developers, and close the loop between Product and stakeholders through A/B experiments and feedback-driven improvements.
  • You refine high-level requirements with the relevant stakeholders beyond engineering, such as sales, founders, and customers to gather the context required to shape the project. You lead its implementation by directing a project-based squad of your fellow engineers.

2. Full-stack Development and AI integration

  • You work across the stack, building and evolving our frontend physician and patient interfaces, ensuring good performance and consistent UX quality, as well as on backend topics, such as creating APIs and data modeling
  • You follow established patterns for error handling, versioning, and backward compatibility to protect customers and clinical operations.
  • You integrate custom ML models and off-the-shelf AI services into product workflows with appropriate handling for latency, failure modes, and data quality.

3. Engineering Quality and Operational Excellence

  • You uphold engineering standards: code review discipline, definition of done, CI/CD expectations, and documentation norms.
  • You make your work observable and diagnosable in production through metrics, logs, traces, alerting, and runbooks.
  • You identify and reduce friction in delivery (tooling, pipelines, test strategy, simplification) where it affects your work or the team’s.
Requirements

Requirements:

  • M.Sc. in a STEM field and 3+ years of professional full-time full-stack experience
  • Strong proficiency in Python on the backend and TypeScript/React on the frontend.
  • Product and User-focused mindset with a strong understanding of user experience (UX) and contributing to design decisions that solve real-world problems
  • Comfort with high ownership in a small, autonomous team and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Familiarity with ML/data pipelines, audio/signal processing, or clinical data.
  • Track record of shipping complex, AI-enabled features end-to-end.
  • Interest in research and the medical domain.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps and cloud infrastructure (e.g., GCP, CI/CD, IaC).
  • Experience with regulated software (MDR, ISO 13485, IEC 62304) or healthcare products.
  • German language skills.
Benefits
  • πŸ«€ The unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on the lives of millions of people.
  • πŸš€ A dynamic startup with a diverse team and exceptional talent from Harvard, TUM, Meta and Stanford.
  • 🩺 You will be working alongside some of the brightest minds and renowned researchers from the global cardiology community with the world’s best medical institutions.
  • πŸ’Έ A competitive compensation package with meaningful company shares and long-term growth potential.
  • 🎾 Access to Urban Sports Club to help you stay active and fit.
  • πŸ’» A beautiful office in the heart of Berlin-Mitte with a high-end espresso machine, drinks, and much more.

This role reports to the Product Lead and partners day-to-day with the Tech Lead, Design Lead and the engineering team. You collaborate with Sales, Clinical partners, and external technology partners where features touch integrations, reliability, or clinical workflows.

This is a unique opportunity and position with large ownership, freedom and trust! We are very much looking forward to your application.
